This time next week…

…we will be experiencing the first ever guerrilla dance party conducted by DanceNOWChicago and WE WANT YOU to come dance with us.

First Dance: Friday, September, 18th @ 5:30PM

This event is open to anyone and everyone, the more the merrier.  Participation is easy!  Here’s what you do:

1. Download a version of James Brown’s Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine (we recommend the version on the 20 All Time Greatest Hits album.)  You can find the song on Amazon and/or iTunes.  Once you’ve got the song, get that baby onto your ipod (or any portable music device that uses headphones.)
2. Map the location.  We will be dancing in front of Calder’s Flamingo sculpture at 50 E Adams St in Chicago.
3. Show up with the song ready to go and get ready to shake your money-maker.  Note: We would like everyone to meet at the sculpture at 5:30pm with plans to dance right at 5:35pm!

That’s it!  Don’t forget, we will be filming the event and posting it on the blog, vimeo, and YouTube so be ready for that!

Beyond these plans, I have no idea what to expect.  It could be 2 people dancing, it could be 200 (probably closer to the 2 though…it is out first dance afterall.)  All I know is I can’t wait to see some dancing out there.  If you have any questions or if you want to let us know you’re excited to come, you can always email us at DanceNOWChicago@gmail.com
